Wattnow Electrical is more than just a clever name, having recently been awarded the WA Regional Small Business of the Year with a prize of $25,000 worth of television advertising through GWN7 and the production of a 30-second commercial through Lomax media. The company has been providing electrical services to Derby and the West Kimberley since 2010. Wattnow is an Indigenous owned company that prides itself on providing high quality service for a full range of domestic and commercial electrical services.

The Temple Boutique Spa

A fellow WA business, The Temple Boutique Spa was recently awarded the Start-up Business Award at the WA Small Business Awards. Located in Albany on the coast of WA, the company focuses on delivering world class treatments from the oldest permanently settled town in WA.

 Totally Workwear

TWW has independently owned and operated service centres that follow the slogan of ensuring customers get focussed service, backed with Australia’s best buying power to ensure value and quality. They are now Australia’s largest network of service providers in work wear, corporate wear and safety gear. Just last year they were awarded for ‘Excellence in Business’ at the Northern Rivers Business Awards.

Barefruit Marketing

Understanding that people and businesses who may have talent may not have the time and resources to market their business and build their brand, Barefruit Marketing work to bring companies into the forefront and help them flourish and prosper. The company work with business owners to share the load and grow their brands for them, earning them the Northern Rivers ‘Excellence in Small Business’ award in 2015.

The Right Food Group

Winner of ‘2015 Regional Business of the Year’ in the NSW region is The Right Food Group. The company focusses on delivering award-winning recipes which they manufacture for large and small retailers nation-wide. Customers are provided with a quick solution with batch-ready recipes for both food service and retail.

 Just for Pets

Last year Just for Pets picked up two awards at the Northern Rivers Business Awards. Karen Justice picked up the ‘Business Leader’ award and the company was also awarded the ‘Excellence in Innovation’ award. Each member store offers various services to help customers find their pet through adoption, and care for them with training, grooming and health care.

 Canoe the Coorong

In southern South Australia, Canoe the Coorong recently picked up ‘Sponsor’s Choice’ at the Brand South Australia Regional Awards. The story behind the company is truly inspiring, setting up in a wildlife area that was victim to years of drought and founded by Brenton Carle who initially moved to the area while struggling through university with dyslexia and studying Environmental Science.

 Hello Friday

Hello Friday is a multi-disciplinary, multi-talented design studio offering powerful communications tools to build brands and ideas. In 2015 they picked up an award at the Brand South Australia Regional Awards and are committed to creating engaging and inspirational work with creative production.

 Pharmacy 777

Pharmacy 777 focuses on providing professional and caring service in a healthcare industry that can sometimes be very clinical and rushed. Their goal to offer this personalised approach has earned them the 2016 ‘Community Engagement Award’ at the WA Regional Small Business Awards. They have even implemented a personalised medication plan that covers the full range of health issues and questions a patient or family face with free appointments and consultation rooms for comfort and privacy.

Esperance Psychology 

Sometimes numbers aren’t everything. A great example of this is Esperance Psychology, a practice with only up to 4 employees recently winning an award at the 2016 WA Regional Small Business Awards for the 0-4 employee category as well as the ECCI Esperance Business of the Year for 2016. They are a locally owned and operated Psychological Practice serving Esperance and the surrounding areas.
