What inspired us to do it?

Our inspiration stems from witnessing the struggles within the sales industry—complex buyer journeys, extended sales cycles, and a disconnect between sellers and buyers. We saw talented sales professionals feeling overwhelmed by outdated methodologies that didn’t align with the modern buyer’s expectations.

Recognising the need for change, we set out to create a system that is both reflective of current market dynamics and adaptable to future shifts.

Stories like Lui outperforming all of his peers combined or David building a $150 million pipeline during COVID highlighted that success isn’t just about hard work—it’s about working smart with the right approach. These examples fueled our desire to distil what top performers do differently and make it accessible to all.

The back story

In 2012, I co-founded Locomote.com, a SaaS business in the business travel industry—a sector dominated by entrenched, decades-old players. The company faced significant challenges, including moments when it seemed like time and resources had run out. Despite the odds, I successfully exited in 2016, selling for over $50 million to NYSE-listed company Travelport.

In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic—a time when the travel industry was crippled—I bought back Locomote for just $1. Recognising the need for a strong sales strategy in an unprecedented market, I turned to Luigi for sales coaching. 

Together, we applied the principles that would later form the foundation of the V.I.S.I.O.N framework, building a pipeline worth over $150 million in one of the most challenging economic environments.

This experience validated the effectiveness of our approach across different industries and economic conditions. It wasn’t just theoretical—it was a proven strategy that delivered tangible results when applied with dedication and effort.
