Businesses looking to streamline their packing and delivery process will benefit from a new mobile application rolling out globally from NetSuite in November.

The new NetSuite Ship Central offering will help businesses optimise operations, eliminate manual processes, and accelerate customer deliveries. The solution equips warehouse workers with packing and shipping capabilities on a mobile or kiosk device.

Logistics have been a pain point for many businesses since the pandemic and Evan Goldberg  founder and EVP, Oracle NetSuite suggests Ship Central can smooth out many of these hurdles.

“Now, more than ever, warehouse operations are under pressure to increase output without additional resources to do so,” said Goldberg,

“With NetSuite Ship Central, we are extending our capabilities to help customers further automate time-consuming warehouse operations to increase output and efficiencies. By making it easier to consolidate shipments, adjust shipping routes for cost efficiency, and customize workflows to meet business demands, Ship Central provides intelligence and insights to further optimise the fulfilment process, decreasing cost and increasing customer satisfaction.”

Ship Central will work together with NetSuite WMS to provide end-to-end capabilities for picking, packing, and shipping products.

The new app streamlines the shipping process, eliminating unnecessary steps during picking and packing and can even determine the best carrier based on delivery date or location type,. The mobile application helps warehouse management optimise fulfilment processes and minimise shipping costs and transit times.

Notable features include the ability to locate shipments easil, combine multiple shipments to increase shipping efficiencies and lower carrier costs and print and reprint lables at any point in the process.

Packages can be tracked in real-time, delivering a more transparent experience to customers  by allowing them to track the precise location of products via carrier tracking numbers.

Goldberg says when used in conjunction with NetSuite WMS, Ship Central optimises the day-to-day warehouse operations across SKUs, processes, and locations.
