Red light therapy works by exposing the skin to red and near-infrared light which is absorbed by the mitochondria (the "powerhouse" of cells), stimulating self-rejuvenation by boosting our natural repair mechanisms.

We founded Red Light Hero after we felt the benefits but noticed existing red light therapy panels were either low quality and missing key characteristics such as high irradiance and efficient bulbs, or had excessive price tags justified by unnecessary features and marketing jargon.
